Counselling
The counselling, and at times psychotherapy, that we provide is slanted to deal with issues relating to separation/divorce. Naturally many other issues will come up and our counsellors are at liberty to stretch these boundaries as they please. We would only offer a service to users who have experienced parental separation/divorce directly - as parents or as children. Some times our counsellors will refer on to other counsellors if they think this would serve you better. The counselling we offer is for parents and/or children, separately or together in any combination that the counsellors and service users think will best help. The same or different counsellors might see different family members. Children might be seen together with both parents or separately with each parent or by themselves or together with siblings.
At times we run various kinds of groups for children and for adults, but this is very much dependant on available funding. As a rule the mediation and counselling is very separate and counsellors and mediators do not discuss with each other anyone using both services.
